‘I Wait till Dusk’  - a professional performance at the Plough Theatre, Torrington

On Friday 6th November  2009, 7.30 pm

Plus workshops available
infusionarts present a pre-show talk on ‘A Journey with the Maasai’, with some beautiful photography and interesting cultural anecdotes followed by a performance of a dynamic and powerful play, ‘I Wait till Dusk’.

This play is a redemption piece told by Cathy, an African woman returning to many memories in a deserted missionary, where she spent most of her life. Cathy shares some secrets that include her unsentimental tribute to a secret love affair with a Maasai warrior.

"They don’t know when I am sad; I pretend I’m not…even though my inside is burning with pain. At times I still like to laugh." Based on a true story this account is a moment of an inspired life.

Directed by Shirley Beth Newbery
