Using drama in science example!
Young science!
A workshop on pushing and pulling, forces and movement. We use creative ways to introduce science to young primary school people. Covering Gravity, Stretching, up, down, start stop. We bring a parachute and other objects to enhance the group work and then work on specific topics related to science for the ages 5 - 8 years. We adapt the workshop to suit your school’s needs and so please discuss any topic you wish to cover if not mentioned.
Our Environment
A strong movement workshop using ‘odd bits of rubbish’ to create a very original piece of theatre. This one day workshop explores our use of plastic, paper, old clothes and house hold items to learn where they have come from how they have changed. The workshop is suitable for all age groups as we adapt to suit the year! This is a very creative and effective day and works for those who may lack confidence as it does not demand that students speaking in front of people.
Bullying
A workshop that looks at why bullies behave in the way that they do and what to do in different situations to help everybody involved. This programme looks at body language, actions and ways to work with others whilst exploring anti social behaviour. We make this a fun and friendly drama process so that we can learn from each other. We finish off with some character work.
Exploring the social and domestic life of teenagers. An interactive devising process that uses drama to create a short piece that includes filming, ending with a valid and creative view point on various aspects of life for the young people of today. Covering; career challenges, expectations and opinions. This workshop explores pre-conceived ideas, discrimination issues and perceptions placed on us within society.
